Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.7, 1.7; HindIII--3.3, 1.1; BamHI--4.4; PstI--3.1, 0.7, 0.4; EcoRI/HindIII--2.7, 1.1, 0.6. There is an error in the reported sequence at nt 642 which is a T not an A. The encoded amino acid (Ala) remains the same. The change explains the HindIII restriction site yielding a 1.1 kb fragment. The clone contains the complete coding sequence including 33 bp 5' untranslated and 250 bp 3' untranslated regions. The clone detects a single mRNA species of approximately 1.9 kb in fetal intestine, placenta, pancreas, lung, liver, heart, and kidney with little in adrenal gland or muscle. |
